At 11:00, on 14th March, The Rights and Benefits Department of our school, together with the other 9 schools, held an activity to activate students’ awareness of protecting their rights by games, promotion and demonstration as well as opinion collection.

The Rights and Benefits Department of our school played the role of collecting opinions of the students in this activity. They gathered information about what the students knew about the Rights and Benefits Department and suggestions about their daily life and renovation of the facilities by well-designed questionnaire, although the questionnaire may be not precise. The “wish board” was filled with all kinds of wishes and students all agreed that air conditioners should be installed and the speed of campus internet accessing be improved.

Besides the wish boards, some specific demonstration of rights protection, such as Lunch Meeting with CCNU Leaders and a lecture about fixing computers held by School of Computer Science attracted lots of students. The Lost and Found blackboard and rights of borrowing self-study rooms advocated by School of Mathematics and Statistics were also the highlight.

Finally, the students signed their names on the right protection banner, We believed that students would use laws as weapon to protect their rights when encountering illegal action in the future. The Rights and Benefits Department of our school will try their best to fight for the rights of students.
