On 8th,september at four o 'clock in the afternoon, the opening ceremony for 16 graduate students was held in room 7303 well. Our party secretary Wang Jiping, the dean Darrell IRWIN, executive vice-dean JIANG Lihua, vice dean WAN Rende, vice secretary of party committee Xue Pingjun, head of the department of sociology Fuping, head of the department of social work Zheng Guanghuai, the secretary of graduate teaching WANG Haihong, the graduate instructor ZhaiJuan attended the ceremony, all the class of 2016 graduate students took part in the ceremony, the ceremony presided over by wan, vice dean of the department of sociology.
Professor wan delivered the first speech, he expressed warm welcome to all graduate students and send his kind regards, introducing the basic situation of our department to new students , and looking forward to the development of “one body two wings ” Then, our dean Darrell IRWIN delivered his speech vividly combined with his own learning experience, to encourage fellow freshman strengthen professional learning and should make full use of existing conditions to broaden their academic field of vision, and gain rich experience. The sociology students should bear the responsibility, everybody should pay attention to systemic in learning, improve ability and our department will try our best to develop more rich, comprehensive, practical and scientific training plan. our department is willing to provide guide and guarantee work for everyone.
The social work department professor Zheng Guanghuai as a representative of the teachers and students of communication. Zheng teacher remind everybody to correct learning attitude, not be lazy, to be diligent about reading, and have a purpose in their research direction. In addition, zheng also stressed that everyone at the same time of increasing professionalism, not to forget social economist should uphold the conscience, to hold the moral bottom line. Zheng’s talk is humorous, and the students give their praise and admiration.
Finally student Hu Yu Hu combined with his own learning experience, expressed the feeling of sociology, and his best wishes for freshmen, she hopes students in the next journey to be brave and firm. BO Song represents the freshmen to participate in the ceremony, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the teachers and the students, then talked about how sociology graduate students in learning and life practice.
The opening ceremony is involved in leading teachers most in recent years, highlighting the importance lead teachers attach to social work. After the ceremony, many new said they learned a lot , the words of my teachers and classmates for the next few years learning life provides valuable guidance and help to all of us.
