Held by the teaching subdecanal Wan Rende,the academic lecture by professor Xu Xiaojun came off on time in the MSW classroom,on the fifth floor in the teaching building 3 ,at 14:00 on 12^th.October.  

    Professor Xu talked about three points in the lecture:the study in changing,the advantages and challenges in the mix study and how to improve our learning ability in mix study.In the lecture,professor Xu shared what he saw 、 heard and learned in Australia with students,talking about his own experience humorously.He said,” Students cultivating should be distinguishing but not McDonaldization.We should develop the students’ personality.” He also talked about his understanding of study several times,saying”The essence of study is to transform knowledge into a kind of ideology,then to influence one’s value and finally to make it a consensus interiorized.”About mix study,he said,It’s to combine the online study and the face-face communication with teachers together.It would be more efficient and more convenient for students to learn in the way containing both the modern and traditional features.    

 While talking about the advantages and challenges,on the one hand,professor Xu expressed his appreciation for the convenience of unlimited area and unlimited knowledge sources because by the internet,studying doesn’t suffer from the obstructing of area and the deficiency of information resources.On the other hand,he showed his worry about the the deficiency of students’ self-control ability and the over capacity、inundation of the information.He encouraged students to choose the valuable material to learn proactively,meanwhile they should learn how to distinguish and select.Professor Xu introduced the divide of learning ability level to our students:accepting negatively---learning actively---structure---interaction,and explained it’s a process from memory to applying,then to transformation,and finally to innovation.He said,the teachers in CCNU are trying hard to build a new kind of class for students to focus on the learning of method but not the knowledge,which is different from before.

In the lecture,professor Xu Xiaojun shared the understanding of study by Peter M.Senge:Real learning touches the heart, which is the essence of people.Through the study,we reinvent ourselves;through the study,we are able to do the things we have never done before;through the study,we expand our ability to create, and become a part of life reproduction process.  

       The next part after professor Xu’s sharing was for students’ questions.Professor Xu answered every question raised by students meticulously.During the communication with professor Xu,our students made the puzzles in heart before clear and felt it’s so kind to talk with professor Xu.Everyone joining the lecture got  both thespiritual enlightenment and study inspiration .
